The Department of Visual and Performing Arts (previously Fine Arts) offers four exciting majors as well as several minors in art, music, and theatre. Students interested in study in the areas of live performance visual design should contact MC Friedrich. Students interested in study in Sound Design or Audio production should contact Christopher Plummer. They will be happy to explain our programs and to answer any questions that you have.

- Degrees on the left of the chart have a strong engineering focus for students interested in designing and building performance-related equipment—putting together sound systems or lighting systems.
- Degrees on the right focus on artistic background, for students interested in working as artists on productions—designing, telling stories, creating highly artistic performances.
- Degrees in the middle provide a balanced artistic and technology background for students interested in consulting or other support positions not directly involved with either designing equipment or creating productions, but requiring a basic knowledge of both.
